the beauty of African fashion into the hands of makers around the world.
Who we are
We specialise in offering meticulously designed sewing patterns inspired by the rich and diverse cultures of Africa. From traditional attire like iro and buba, bubus, to modern, trend-setting fusion designs, our patterns are crafted with both beginners and experienced seamstresses in mind. From occasionwear to everyday wear, we offer both physical and digital sewing patterns.
Our mission
With a focus on freedom of expression and positive body image, at Asoebi Patterns, we are dedicated to create sewing patterns that are accessible to everyone. Easy to use thanks to step by step sewing instructions, our main emphasis is on quality and durability.
Sewing is about learning new skills which is why we bring you professional sewing methods adapted to home sewing through our detailed sewing instructions.
As part of the global sewing community, we want to pass on our core values of integrity, honesty, and empathy in all we do. The sewing community brings together many types of people from all backgrounds, and we aspire to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
How we work
All Asoebi patterns are designed and sampled in our design studios in London and Lagos Nigeria. We are an international team with more than 90 years of combined experience in the fashion industry.
We very much enjoy working with our sewing community worldwide, who inspire us everyday.
